About DLF Golf Academy
The DLF Golf Academy is the first professional golf school in the country. The Academy was opened in 1999 and for over a last decade and a half has been instrumental in providing golf instruction to members of the DLF Golf & Country Club, residents of DLF5, juniors from across India, corporates from the vicinity, and to many top amateurs and professionals in the country.
A panel of highly trained & certified instructors teach golf in a structured manner, yet cater to needs of every individual golfer. The instructors recognize that the students learn golf for a variety of reasons and that the pace of learning is unique to each student. Programs are thus designed to suit all level of golfers.
All nine professionals at the Academy are certified by the National Golf Academy of India, and come with more than 15 years of teaching experience. The team specializes in junior programs and in the use of golf teaching technology for all levels of golfers. The Academy also offers golf specific fitness training and has a highly certified resident Fitness coach to assist the students with their fitness routines.
Facilities
At the Academy, a student can practice any kind of shot that he or she may come across on the course. Long game practice is done either from specialized astro turf or from natural grass. A well designed short game area gives students an opportunity to practice a variety of shots from 80 yards in. Undulating lies to strategic pins located over a bunker challenge a student to simulate shots played on the course. A large bunker adds to the variety and another large, undulating putting green not only plays true and fast, but also caters to a good number of students and Academy users.
Performance Center
3 Hitting studios and 1 Putting Lab / Fitness Studio make up the DLF Golf Academy Performance Center. The Hitting Studios offer golf instruction using the latest in digital golf teaching technology. Each of the Studios is fitted with the V1 Pro 4-camera system and high speed cameras, the SAM Balance Lab, the K-Vest and the Trackman launch monitors. The Putting Lab is fitted with the SAM Putt Lab and the V1 Pro Putting Software, and the Fitness Studio caters to all golf specific exercises.
The latest addition to the Academy is a state-of-the-art TrackMan simulator, which is the finest in indoor golfing experience.
